Septimus Heap

La serie de Septimus Heap, de Angie Sage, consta de siete maravillosos libros:
- Septimus
- Septimus y el hechizo imposible
- Septimus  y el último alquimista
- Septimus  y el anillo de las dos caras
- Septimus y la magia negra
- Los papeles mágicos (contiene los diarios de Jenna, Septimus y Marcia...)
En ellos se relatan las aventuras de un chico que pasa de no tener nada a tenerlo todo, pues resulta que es el séptimo hijo de un séptimo hijo.
Junto a Septimus siempre se encuentra la princesa Jenna, que tras la muerte de su madre la Reina había sido criada en casa de los Heap como a otro miembro más.
Son unos libros apasionantes, con letra ni grande ni pequeña y con ilustraciones de los personajes a principio de cada capítulo.

They recount the adventures of a boy who goes from not having anything to having everything, because he turns out to be the seventh son of a seventh son.
Along with Septimus is always the princess Jenna, who after the death from her mother, the Queen, had been raised in the home of the Heap family, as another member.
This books are exciting, with neither big nor small letter and with illustrations of the characters at the beginning of every chapter.

El Esbirro

"El Esbirro" es la autobiografía de un joven ruso llamado Sergei Kourdakov, destinada a todos los creyentes de Rusia, durante la época del comunismo.

En este libro, el autor nos intenta explicar la situación en la que se encontraba y como consiguió escapar de Rusia y empezar una nueva vida con ideales muy distintos a los que había tenido durante toda su vida.

"The Minion" is the autobiography of a young Russian named Sergei Kourdakov, for all believers of Russia, during the period of communism.

In this book, the author attemps to explain the situation where he was and how he escaped from Russia and start a new life with very different ideals to which he had throughout his life.

El Tapiz

"El Tapiz", de Henry H. Neff, es una colección de libros formada actualmente por "El Guardián de Rowan", "El Segundo Asedio" y "El demonio y la forja". Cuentan las aventuras de Max McDaniels, un adolescente, con extraordinarias cualidades y portador de la Magia Antigua.
Es una serie de libros muy interesante y emotiva, ya que hacen que el lector sienta lo mismo que el personaje principal.

"The Trapestry", by Henry H. Neff, is a collection of books currently made up of "The Hound of Rowan", "The Second Siege" and "The Fiend and the Forge". They tell the adventures of Max McDaniels, a teenager with extraordinary qualities and bearer of the ancient magic.
This series of books is very interesting and emotinal, because they make the reader feel the same things as the main character.

El Hobbit

"El Hobbit", de J. R. R. Tolkien, explica la manera en que llegó el Anillo (de "El Señor de los Anillos") en manos de Bilbo Bolsón, un hobbit de la Comarca.
Gracias a que salió después de toda la saga de "El Señor de los Anillos", este libro aclara todas las incógnitas que los otros libros habían dejado.
La película de este libro aparecerá en los cines en este mismo año, aquí está el trailer:

"The Hobbit", by J. R. R. Tolkien, explains how the Ring (from "The Lord of the Rings") arrived in the hand of Bilbo Baggings, a hobbit of the Shire.
Because it came out after the whole saga of "The Lord of the Rings", this book clarifies all the uncertainties that the other books had left.

Los Guardianes del Pasado

"Los Guardianes del Pasado", de P. R. Gomez, es un libro en el cual el tiempo tiene mucho protagonismo. Narra la historia de dos hermanos, cuyos padres son los guardianes del pasado y por esta razón viven en él. Ellos al desconocer esto ayudan a un chico, que iba a morir en un accidente, cambiando así todo el futuro. Como sus padres quieren deshacerse de ese chico, le intentan salvar y accidentalmente viajan futuro, donde se quedan atrapados. 

El futuro que nos presenta este libro esta dominado por la tecnología y los seres que viven en él son de lo más extraños.

"Guardians of the Past", by P. R. Gomez, is a book in which time is very important. It tells the story of two brothers whose parents are the guardians of the past and therefore live in it. Ignoring this, they help one boy that was going to die in an accident, and with this action they change the entire future. As their parents want to get rid of that boy, they try to help him and accidently travel to the future, where they become trapped. 

The future that this book presents is dominated by technology and the people who live there are unusual.

Otro Mundo

"Otro Mundo", de Maxime Chattam, es una colección actualmente formada por "Los tres héroes" y "Malahierba". 

Todo era normal hasta que la Tormenta lo cambio todo, empezando por los adultos. Muchos adultos desaparecieron, los otros perdieron todo tipo de memoria y se volvieron peligrosos y agresivos; y otros se convirtieron en mutantes. Los niños, los únicos supervivientes al cambio, deciden unirse en comunidades para poder así sobrevivir en la nueva naturaleza y empiezan a desarrollar unos nuevos dones, según sus costumbres y sus necesidades. 

Estos libros narran las aventuras de Matt y Tobias, unos niños que se encuentran en medio de todos estos hechos. 

Es una colección llena de aventuras, peligros y misterios por resolver, con la promesa de una inminente batalla entre los niños y los adultos agresivos. 


"Another World" by Maxime Chattam is a collection currently made up by "The Three Heroes" and "Malahierba".
Everything was normal until the Storm changed everything, starting with the adults. Many adults disappeared, others lost their memory and became dangerous and aggressive, and others became mutants. Children, the only survivors at the change, decided to join in communities to survive in the new nature and began to develop some new gifts, according to their customs and needs.
These books chronicle the adventures of Matt and Tobias, children who are in the midst of all these facts.
It's a collection filled with adventure, danger and some unsolved mysteries, with the promise of a future battle between the aggressive adults and children.

Cuentos de imaginación y misterio

"Cuentos de Imaginación y Misterio", de Edgar Allan Poe, es una recopilación de relatos cortos de miedo. Entre ellos se encuentran: "La caída de la casa de Usher", "El gato negro", "La máscara de la Muerte Roja", "William Wilson" y "El corazón delator".

Son cuentos perfectos para la típica noche de acampada o para los momentos en los que te encuentras solo en casa.

"Tales of Mystery and Imagination", by Edgar Allan Poe, is a collection of short scary stories. Among them are: "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The black cat", "The Masque of the Red Death", "William Wilson" and "The Tell-Tale Heart". 

These stories are perfect for the typical camping night or for when you are alone at home.

El tren de las 4:50

"El tren de las 4:50", de Agatha Christie, es un libro detectivesco en el cual actúa Mrs. Marple, una mujer de avanzada edad aficionada a resolver crímenes. 

Mrs. McGillicuddy, una amiga de Mrs. Marple, presenció, durante uno de sus viajes en tren, el asesinato de una joven chica, en otro tren que pasaba por el lado y en dirección contraria. Como no se encontró ningún cadáver y nadie la creía, acudió a su amiga.

Mrs Marple, al igual que Poirot (otro de los personajes típicos de Agatha Christie), no deja ver su conclusión hasta el final, cuando el lector esta seguro de quien es el asesino, y el resultado es totalmente inesperado y sorprendente. 

"4:50 from Paddington", by Agatha Christie, is a book in which it operates Mrs. Marple, an elderly woman keen on solving crimes. 

Mrs. McGillicuddy, a friend of Mrs. Marple, witnessed ,during one of her travels by train, the murder of a young girl on another train that passed at the other side and in opposite direction. No one belived her because the corpse wasn't found, so she went to her friend.

Mrs. Marple, like Poirot (another of the typical characters of Agatha Christie), didn't show her conclusion until the end, when the reader thinks he/she knows who is the murderer, and the result is totally unexpected and surprising.

Laila Winter

"Laila Winter", de Bárbara G. Rivero, es una colección de libros (cuatro libros: "Las arenas de Solarïe", "Los Señores de los Vientos", "La maldición Ithïrie" y "El corazón de las Sombras") que narran la vida de una chica aparentemente normal.

Ya desde pequeña, Laila, había tenido el pelo verde y, por culpa de este, no había podido hacer amigos. El día de su cumpleaños su padre le da un libro con gemas incrustadas en la tapa y le dice que había pertenecido a su madre. Un día, mirando las páginas blancas del libro, se da cuenta que ya no está en blanco y dice las palabras que ve en voz alta, abriendo un portal al mundo de las hadas. 

Es una colección de libros llena de peligrosas aventuras, magia y de misterios por resolver.

"Laila Winter", by Bárbara G. Rivero is a collection of books (four books: " The Sands of Solarïe", "The Lords of the Winds", "The Curse Ithirïe" and "The Heart of Darkness") that tell the life of what seems a normal girl.
Since small, Laila, has had green hair and because of this, she couldn't make any friends. On her birthday, her father gave her a book with gems embedded in the cover and said that it had belonged to her mother. One day, watching the white pages of the book, she realized that they weren't in blank anymore. Then she says the words out loud and in front of her a portal to the fairy world appears.
It is a collection of books filled with dangerous adventures, magic and mysteries to solve.

Las Crónicas Herederas

Las Crónicas Herederas, de Cinda Williams Chima, constan de tres libros: "El Guerrero Heredero", "El Mago Heredero" y "El Dragón Heredero". En ellos se relatan la vida de tres chicos adolescentes: Jack, Seph y Madison. 

Los herederos son personas nacidas con una piedra mágica tras su corazón. Estos son los hechiceros, los videntes, los magos, los guerreros y los encantadores. Los magos, los que tienen poder físico, controlan a los demás herederos, considerándolos sus esclavos. Pero eso está a punto de cambiar, pues Jack (guerrero), Seph (mago) y Madison van a ayudar a que llegue la paz en el mundo heredero, tras peligrosas aventuras y una batalla final, en la que morirán algunos de sus más fieles amigos.

The Heir Chronicles, by Cinda Williams Chima, consist of three books: "The Warrior Heir", "The Wizard Heir" and "The Dragon Heir". They recount the lives of three teenagers: Jack, Seph and Madison.

Heirs are the people born with a magical stone upon their heart. These are the sorcerers, seers, wizards, warriors and enchanters. The wizards, who have physical power, control the other heirs (or Gilds), considering them their slaves. But that is about to change, because Jack (warrior), Seph (wizard) and Madison will make peace  between all of them, after dangerous adventures and a final battle, in which will die some of their most loyal friends.

La serie del Legado

"Eragon", "Eldest", "Brisingr" y "el Legado" ("Inheritance" en inglés), de Christopher Paolini, son los libros que forman esta magnífica serie. Tras sus tapas encuentras todo un mundo mágico, repleto de criaturas fantásticas (elfos, enanos, dragones...) y una gran aventura a través de todo Alagaësia.
Estos libros narran la vida de un joven campesino, Eragon, cuya vida cambia radicalmente tras encontrarse un huevo de dragón que había sido robado al rey Galbatorix, un jinete de dragón malvado, que en su afán de poder había llevado a los dragones casi hasta la extinción. Saphira,la dragona que sale del huevo, elige a el joven Eragon como su jinete y tras esta elección, todos los problemas surgen y obligan a Eragon a abandonar el pueblo donde vivía y dirigirse a las Montañas Beor, lugar donde se encuentran los que se resisten a la tiranía del rey. La misión de Eragon es matar al malvado rey, pero para llevar a cabo tal misión tendrá que luchar en sangrientas batallas y ver morir a amigos ante sus ojos.
La única película existente de esta saga es la de "Eragon". Aquí esta el trailer:
